How to partition for Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008?

Why partition for Server is important?

Before answering the question, you must make it clear what a Server is. A Server is a computer supplying services or resources to other computers. It contains loads of critical data and is the most critical part of the whole system. If it cannot give its best performance, then the process of the whole system would not be smooth.

But nowadays, most of the Server users and the technicians have met these problems: there is no enough free space on system partition to install new software; the system is running slowly because of the inefficient free space on the disk…

The minimum and maximum sizes that you can do with the partition depend on the free space within and surrounding it on the disk. Drag the handle of the partition to any size you want.

3.Click Apply to execute the operations.

NOTE: If there is no unallocated space surrounding the partition you want to extend, you can shrink other partitions first and extend the target partition by merging the free space.
