Convert FAT to NTFS in Different Ways

Choosing Between NTFS, FAT, and FAT32

You can choose between three file systems for disk partitions on a computer running Windows XP: NTFS, FAT, and FAT32. The above command, for instance, can be used to convert drive C. it is important to remember that this is a one way process and once converted, you cannot then convert back to the earlier file system.
