How to combine two partitions under Windows OS?

If:

The operating system residing on the hard disk is Windows OS and the system partition is suffering low disk space problem. The partition behind system drive is a data drive with lots of free space. You really want to get rid of this notice and make your PC work faster. Enlarging system drive undoubtedly is the best choice for you to realize what you wish. A larger system c drive can be made by resizing disk space or combining two partitions into a single one. Here I would like to discuss the way of combining two partitions to solve low disk space problem with you.

Procedure to combine two partitions

1) Backup your important data

Combining two partitions means making these two into a single larger one. In case of any unexpected accidents happen, you'd better back up all necessary data or copy them to a safe place beforehand, especially when there are some applications in the data partition.

2) Get EaseUS Partition Master

The Operating systems coming after Windows Vista (including vista) make it possible to resize partition size directly with Disk Management. However, resizing partition size is different from combining two partitions. Resizing means to shrink one partition and extend another. Whereas, combining means merging two neighboring partitions into a larger one.

The truth is that Windows doesn't offer you a chance to combine two partitions directly just like shrinking and extending volumes. This is why I recommend you to use third party partition management software - EaseUS Partition Master, which can directly combine two adjacent partitions with all data protected.

3) After getting EaseUS Partition Master, install and run it.
