Why need to partition Windows Server?

Partitioning Server or creating separate divisions on hard disk drive is for better administration, space management and access control. It is important to partition Server. However, partitioning Windows Server is not as a daily used utility for Windows Server users as backup. When the Server is built, its partitions are created through careful consideration according to the needs of the users. But when a partition on your Windows Server is running out of space, the performance of the Servers is doomed to be declined.

By dividing the disks into several partitions, Server users can make a different use of each, such as one partition C: for installing system and others for storing personal data. Partitions contribute a lot to the security control and resource management, especially for a server which have a large database.

After partitioning the Servers, users need to give a better manager for their partitions. The experience of partitioning Server is that problems usually occur months or even years later. When one of your Server partitions is run out of space, especially the system partition, which may have no enough space, as windows continues to download large updates or any other reasons to use up the space, repartitioning the Server is best solution to solve the problem.
